Titus Andronicus

with Make It Up

Titus Andronicus are an indie punk rock band from New Jersey who performed an incredible show at Chums two years ago and are coming back this January. Their concerts are extremely high-energy and the band has received high praise from sites such as The New York Times and Pitchfork Media, and were declared one of the seven "Best New Bands of 2010" by Rolling Stone Magazine.

The show is Saturday, January 26, at 10 PM at Cholmondeley's Coffee House in The Castle and is free and open to the public (with priority entry given to Brandeis students).

Watch the video for "A More Perfect Union".

Ducktails

with Monopoly Child Star Searchers

Ducktails is the (increasingly less) solo project of Real Estate guitarist Matt Mondanile.

His most recent album, The Flower Lane, moves across a range of expressive pop songs that are bright and expansive, but venture even further with forays into saxophone leads, synth lines and piano accompaniment that would have been at home on the early records of sophisticated guitar pop icons such as Aztec Camera and Prefab Sprout.

Songs have featured collaborations with members of Oneohtrix Point Never, Ford + Lopatin, Cults, and Panda Bear, to name a few.

Recommended if you like DIIV, Real Estate, Wild Nothing, Cults, The Feelies, Woods, Beach Fossils, et cetera.

The show is Friday, April 5, at 9 PM at Cholmondeley's Coffee House in The Castle and is free and open to the public (with priority entry given to Brandeis students).

Watch the video for "Letter of Intent".
